Ron Jones (composer)

Ron Jones (* July 7, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas) is an American composer.

Life

Already during his school years, Ron Jones was so impressed that he took music courses parallel to the Clackamas Community College. He studied from 1976 to 1978 at Seattle Pacific University and received his bachelor's degree in music theory and composition. He then moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Dick Grove School. To finance his studies, he worked as an assistant at Hanna- Barbera. He was able to convince the then senior composer Hoyt Curtin of himself, so that Jones wrote for a studio before the end of its financial statements. After he earned his degree in 1979, he continued to work for Curtin and could be from the mid-1980s as a composer for series like DuckTales - News from Duckburg, Superman and Star Trek: The Next Generation establish. His dedication to Star Trek was canceled after a dispute with Rick Berman. His music was " too lively " perceived as why he was replaced by Jay Chattaway. Jones returned to the Star Trek franchise back under his composition work for computer games Starfleet Academy and Starfleet Command.

A fan of Jones was Seth MacFarlane, so he hired him for the composition of some consequences of his two animated series Family Guy and American Dad.

For his involvement in the cartoon series The Fairly OddParents - Fairly OddParents Jones was excellent in 2002 and 2004 respectively at the BMI Film & TV Awards with the BMI Cable Award. For his work on Family Guy, he received three Emmy nominations.
