Ronald Fraser (actor)
Ronald Fraser (* April 11, 1930 in Ashton -under- Lyne as Ronald Gordon Fraser, † 13 March 1997 in London) was a British actor.
Life
Fraser came to acting career during his military service with the Seaforth Highlanders in North Africa. In 1953 he took to study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, after which he joined the theater group of Sir Donald Wolfit.
1954 Fraser gave both his debut in the film and on television. In subsequent years, the small, stocky actor with a distinctive face seemed predestined for dignitaries of the British imperial power, which were characterized by strong human traits. Above all, his figure of Basil " Badger " Allenby -Johnson in the television series The Misfits made him known to a wide audience.
Fraser has played in various genres of Satires ( Then ) and adventure films ( The Flight of the Phoenix ) about dramas ( Sister George must die ) and war films ( Too late for heroism, The Wild Geese ) to literary adaptations and comedies (Get Charlie Tully ).
On television, you could him and Others beside Jeremy Irons in the miniseries Brideshead Head ( Evelyn Waugh ), the youth series The see Five ( by Enid Blyton ), and the series The Avengers and Melon and The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones.
From 1956 to 1964 Ronald Fraser was married to actress Elizabeth Howe.
He died on 13 March 1997 at the age of 66 years of internal bleeding.
