Ronaldo Mota Sardenberg

Ronaldo Mota Sardenberg ( born October 8, 1940 in Itu (Brazil ) ) is a former Brazilian diplomat and politician.

Life

Ronaldo Mota Sardenberg is the son of Ruth S. da Mota Sardenberg and Irto Sardenberg. In 1963 he became a Bachelor of Laws from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 1964 and joined the Foreign Service.

From 1967 to 1970 he was secretary of legation as second-class in Washington, DC and then used until 1973 at the UN headquarters.

From 1982 Sardenberg worked in Moscow, first as chargé d'affaires from 1985 to 1989 as ambassador. Thereafter, he was transferred as ambassador to Madrid before to 2007, the Brazilian government took from 1990 to 1994 and from 2003 at the UN headquarters. In the meantime, he sat from 1993 to 1994 on the seat for non- permanent members of the UN Security Council, which he headed in October 1993.

From 1995 to 1998 Sardenberg was appointed Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs and appointed as Minister of Nuclear Engineering and the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais 1999. In the period from 21 July 1999 to 31 December 2002, he belonged to the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Science and Research Minister, and approved as such the Cabinet George W. Bush, the use of the Centro de Lançamento de Alcântara to. From 2007 to 2011, he then led the Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações, the regulatory authority for the Brazilian telecommunications.
