Rosalyn Fairbank

Rosalyn Doris Fairbank - Nideffer ( born November 2, 1960 in Durban ) is a former South African tennis player.

Career

Rosalyn Fairbank played her first Grand Slam tournament in 1979 and her last in 1997. In her career she won one singles and 18 doubles titles on the WTA Tour. Among her greatest successes include two triumphs in women's doubles at the French Open. In 1981, she won with Tanya Harford and 1983 with Candy Reynolds. In 1983, she still reached the final of the U.S. Open, where she defeated Martina Navratilova against Reynolds and Pam Shriver. With the Australian Mark Edmondson they still came in 1986 to the final of the mixed doubles competition in Paris.
