Roscanvel

Roscanvel ( Roskañvel Breton ) is a commune with a small fishing harbor in the extreme west of Brittany in the département of Finistère with 890 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The municipality is located in the north of the Crozon peninsula on the Atlantic coast in the Regional Natural Park of Armorica (French Parc naturel régional d' Armorica ). Brest is located 8 kilometers (km ) northwest on the opposite shore of the bay Rade de Brest, Quimper 48 km south-east of Paris and about 515 kilometers east (all figures in a straight line ). At Le Faou and Châteaulin are the next departures of the highway E 60 (Nantes- Brest) and, inter alia, in Châteaulin, Quimper and Brest, as are the nearest railway stations. In Brest there is a regional airport.
