Ross Rebagliati

Ross Rebagliati (* July 14, 1971 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian snowboarder.

Rebagliati operates since 1991 his sport professionally. At the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano in 1998, he was with his victory in the giant slalom, the first Olympic gold medalist in the history of this sport. When, after his victory traces of marijuana found in his blood, he was initially disqualified, at the instigation of the International Olympic Committee and denied him the medal. However, the International Court of Sport (CAS ) set aside that order immediately back on, because the IOC ruled without a legal basis.
