Rossiya- class is the name of a series flow and channel common domestic passenger motor ships of medium-sized type, also known as Project 785 or OL800 ( slovak: osobna iodine 800 - German: Passenger ship 800 PS) was known.

History

The river cruise ship series was produced from 1952 to 1958. The Slovak shipyard Narodny Podnik Škoda in Komárno (now Slovenské Lodenice Komárno, then the part of Škoda Group ) built three series, one of which had the first slightly smaller dimensions. With 36 units built, the guy is one of the most successful designs of this kind, the naming was divided into two parts, the first 16 ships, starting with the type of ship Rossiya, countries were given names of Soviet republics, followed by 20 ships that were named after Russian composers. The ships are mainly used on inland services of the rivers Volga, Kama, Don, Yenisei, Ob, Irtysh and Dnepr. Later, with the advent of more modern tonnage on the Volga, the ships were used on other inland shipping routes, but partly also issued as hotel ships or given to smaller domestic shipping companies.

Technology

The individual vessels vary, depending on the variant, with smaller differences in the size of the ship, the equipment with different engine types and other features, with whom they were matched to the respective application. The ships have a diesel-electric drive with two main engines.

The hulls of the individual series differ in the way that the hulls of the first series were slightly smaller, slightly larger, and the third series of the same dimensions as those of the second series had a small ice class of the second series, which is also in operation colder regions made ​​possible. The ships have almost the entire deck area arranged fixed structures with two decks. The ships were in the construction of single and double rooms as well as 4 -, 6 - and 8- bed cabins, all provided with washing facilities. Above and beyond are two restaurants and two community rooms. The multi-bed cabins were modernized later, which led to a reduction in passenger capacity and increased travel comfort. Of the original four lifeboats remained on the tags still two. The ships have a capacity of about 25 tons.
