Rostislav Khugayev

Rostislav Jerastowitsch Chugajew (Russian Ростислав Ерастович Хугаев; Ossetian Хуыгаты Ерасты фырт Ростик; born December 17, 1951 in Mirtgadschin, South Ossetian Autonomous Oblast ) is a South Ossetian politician and entrepreneur. Since 15 May 2012, he is prime minister of his country.

Life

Rostislav Chugajew was born in 1951 in what is now South Ossetia, which belonged to the Soviet Union at that time. At 20 he went to Kuibyshev (modern Samara ), where he began a Igenieursstudium at the local university. This he graduated in 1976, then he began to work in this profession and worked as an entrepreneur, in addition he also founded an Ossetian cultural center in Samara.

Later he returned to his homeland of South Ossetia. After the 2012 election he was appointed by the newly elected South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilow on 15 May 2012 to the Prime Minister.
