Rottach (Tegernsee)

Lower reaches of Rottach

The Rottach is a small river in the district of Miesbach in Bavaria with a length of about 10 km. The Rottach originates at Rotzigmoosberg ( Mangfallgebirge ) in the town of Rottach -Egern, Miesbach. It flows through the upper reaches of the small Suttensee and a pasture area from where they descend steeply and over several small waterfalls between the massifs of Wallenberg and the ground Schneid in the Tegernsee valley. From Enterrottach it runs in the alluvial plain of the lake with only a small gap, and later in setted flume and empties into the Bay Egerner in Rottach- Egern in the Tegernsee.
