Royal Ballet School

The Royal Ballet School is a London school with ballet training and is one of the leading ballet schools around the world. It is located in the White Lodge, Richmond upon Thames and Floral Street ( Covent Garden).

History

The Royal Ballet School in 1931 went from 1926 by Dame Ninette de Valois founded the Academy of Choreographic Art show. The school the Sadler 's Wells Theatre was connected and renamed The Vic - Wells Ballet School. 1939 was followed by another name change to The Sadler 's Wells Ballet School. Since the awarding of the " Royal Charter " in 1956, the school takes its current name, The Royal Ballet School.

Training

The school is divided into two sections: the Lower School for 11 - to 16 -year-old and Upper School for 16 - to 19 -year-old student.
