Royal Conservatory of The Hague

The Koninklijk Conservatorium (Royal Conservatory ) in The Hague, Netherlands, is an institution of higher learning ( college ) for music and dance. It is counted among the leading music institutions in the country.

The Conservatory was founded in 1826 by King William I. 1990 merged with the Royal Conservatory of the Royal Academy of Beeldende Kunsten (Royal Academy of Fine Arts) to the Hogeschool van Beeldende Kunsten, Muziek en Dans ( College of Fine Arts, music, and dance) and now forms the Faculty of Music and Dance. Among other things, there is a collaboration with the Kröller -Müller Museum. The Conservatory is one of the partners of the University of Music and Theatre " Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy " Leipzig.

The Royal Conservatory offers Bachelor's and Master 's degree programs in the fields of music of the European classical music, early music, jazz, Sonology (sound and sound science ), Art / Art Studies, sound art, musical composition, ballet, opera, Creative Arts and Performing art. There are also chairs of "Lifelong Learning Music " and for " Artistry21 " ( concert artistry in the 21st century), as well as a Master's Degree in Music Education.
