History

The Bryggerigruppen emerged in its current form in 1989 by a merger of the brewery faxes with Jyske Bryggerier A / S. The latter brought a more successful brands ( Ceres and Thor) and so Aarhus was elected the hometown of Jyske to the company headquarters. Since 1992, the resulting faxes Jyske A / S operates under the name Bryggerigruppen.

Today Royal Unibrew is a strongly export-oriented enterprise ( export share is currently about 75%) with significant market shares in Scandinavia, the Baltic, Africa and the Caribbean.
