Rubén Olivera (2010)

Rubén Ariel Olivera da Rosa ( born May 4, 1983 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan footballer who has since January 2014 in Brescia Calcio in Italy under contract.

Association

The 1,80 m tall and 78 kg midfielder Olivera began his career at Uruguayan club Danubio FC Montevideo. From there moved at the end of the 2001/02 season to Juventus. In Turin he could not free himself from the beginning as a central midfielder and was therefore awarded to Atlético Madrid. Also in Madrid in the primer Division, he collected rare and usually only brief use, and so he returned to the winter break of the 2003/04 season to Juventus back. As he in turn could not prevail, the neuverpflichtete in the 2004/05 season coach Fabio Capello gave him to the position of the right midfielder, where he presented the following season by good performances and also played regularly. Success with Juventus had a second place in the Champions League in 2003 and two national titles (2003, 2005).

In the season 2005/ 06 he was initially plagued by injury, but could also after recovery ( also due to restructuring within the team) no longer prevail. This season, he only played a few minutes in the Coppa Italia and was loaned to Sampdoria in the summer of 2006.

After leaving Sampdoria led his way through various stations. 2007/ 08 he stood for a game again at Juventus on the court. Then he played eleven games for Peñarol, in which he scored six goals. In the 2008 /09 season he played for Genoa CFC (20 games, four goals). It was followed by 2009/10 15 goalless games for his former employer Peñarol. In the following years he was then working for U.S. Lecce until the end of January 2012. Then he joined Fiorentina. There he made ​​his debut on 17 February 2012 in the game against Napoli. As a result, he played a total of nine Serie A games in the rest of the season. In the first half of the episode season 2012/13 he was only four times in the league for the train. On 14 January 2013 were reported that Olivera is on loan for six months from Fiorentina to his former employer Genoa. For the Genoese, he played only five games ( no goals ). In the season 2013/14 he was back in ranks of Fiorentina. There he was only on 2 November 2013 at a further use in Serie A in which he was, however, applied only after the 90th minute.

On January 30, 2014, he joined the second division side Brescia Calcio, where he signed a contract until 30 June 2015. For Brescia, he celebrated his league debut on February 1, 2014 against AS Bari. Until his last mission provisionally on February 21, 2014 he completed for his current club so far four matches ( no goals ) in the Serie B.

National

Olivera belonged to the squad of the Uruguayan U- 17 team at the FIFA U-17 World Cup 1999 in New Zealand. There he completed all four games with Uruguayan participation and shot in 2:3 quarter-final defeat against the Ghanaian national team a goal.

In the Uruguayan national team he debuted at the 2001 Copa America on July 22, 2001 against Costa Rica. Until his last mission for Celeste on 7 June 2005 Olivera graduated 18 games for Uruguay. He not scored one goal.
