Rudy Gunawan

Rudy Gunawan ( born December 31, 1966 in Surakarta, Indonesia, formerly known as Kwee Hong Guo Hongyan Goan or ) is a former Indonesian badminton player.

Sporting career

Gunawan was 1993 world champion in doubles with Ricky Subagja, but this was his only major title with him. All other achievements he won the men's doubles with Eddy Hartono and Bambang Suprianto. With these partners, he won the All England, China Open, Indonesia Open, Singapore Open, Dutch Open and the German Open. In the team, he was successful in 1994 and 1996 Thomas Cup. In 1992 he won Olympic silver with Eddy Hartono.
