Ruedi Zahner
Ruedi Zahner ( born February 7, 1957) is a former Swiss football player (positions: defense and midfield ), football coach and team manager. He was employed as a coach for FC Aarau in October 2006 after the former coach Urs Schönberger announced his resignation after a series of defeats at the end of October. In January 2007, only Ryszard Komornicki then used in May 2007 Gilbert Gress as the new coach, Zahner had until the end of the 2006/07 season as team manager even advisory function.
Short Biography
Ruedi Zahner graduated in Aarau the business school from, after which he studied in the U.S. sports psychology and still completed several secondary courses. He is the owner of a fitness center in Aarau and managed since 1999, the Under-17 junior national team of Switzerland in the sectors of personal and team development.
Zahner is a passionate clown in his hobby, and uses this knowledge in his activities as a coach.
Main Achievements
In 1982 he went as a player with FC Aarau in the National League A in, won the Swiss Cup in 1985, also with Aarau and was assistant coach finally with the same club in 1993 under then coach Rolf fringer Swiss champion. Since 1 June 2006, he is team manager for FC Aarau, from 31 October until the end of 2006 he was head coach.
FC Aarau in the season 2006/ 07
In the 2006/07 season, FC Aarau was the winter break on the tenth and last place of the Axpo Super League.
