Rügischer Bodden

The Rügische Bodden is bordering on the island of Rügen portion of the Greifswald Bodden ( a lagoon ) in the Baltic Sea. It is located southeast of the island of Ruegen between Moenchgut and Zudar peninsula. On Moenchgut several headlands stick out like the Reddevitzer Hoeft, the Small and Large Zicker in the bay. The bay between Rügen and the Reddevitzer Hoeft Having called, between the Reddevitzer Hoeft and the Great Zicker is the Hagensche Wiek. Other bays are the Schoritzer Wiek, the Lake Sellin and Neuensiener lake. A border in the south would be the line between the headlands of the Peninsula and the Zudar Moenchgut Peninsula. Ports are located in Lauterbach, Baabe and Seedorf.

The lagoon is part of the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve.

In the northern part of the bay, offshore the town of Lauterbach, lies the island of Vilm.
