Rune Johansson

Rune Arnold Georg " Bom Bom " Johansson ( born August 23, 1920 in Stockholm, † December 30, 1998 ) was a Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Rune Johansson began his career as a hockey player with the AIK Solna, for the first team, he was active in Division 1, the then highest Swedish league between 1940 and 1945. Then he played from 1945 to 1954 for its domestic rivals Hammarby IF. With Hammarby, he won the 1951 national championship.

Internationally

For Sweden, Johansson took part in St. Moritz and in Oslo in 1952 at the Olympic Winter Games in 1948. At the Winter Games in 1952 he won the bronze medal with his team. As the best European team Sweden was also European champion. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1953. During the 1953 World Cup, he won the gold medal with Sweden and was also with his country European champions.
