Rune Olijnyk

Rune Olijnyk (* December 27 1968 in Lørenskog ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Olijnyk was on 3 December 1989, his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup and reached the large hill in Thunder Bay 34th place. On 28 December 1989 he succeeded in Oberstdorf with a 9th place for the first time into the top ten for the first time as well as the profit of World Cup points. On January 6, 1990, he was able to achieve the best individual World Cup result of his career with the 6th in Bischofshofen.

In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1991 in Val di Fiemme, he won the large hill the silver medal and jumped on the normal hill on the 20th Place. In the team competition, he reached with the team to 4th place and just narrowly missed a medal. At the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville in 1992 he reached in team jumping, together with Espen Bredesen, Magne Johansen and Lasse Ottesen the 7th Place.

On March 15, 1992 Olijnyk jumped in Oslo his last World Cup competition before the 1991/92 ski jumping his active career ended after the end of the season.
