Russ Ballard

Russ Ballard ( born October 31, 1945 in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, England ) is a British rock musician, composer, record producer, singer and guitarist.

Career

Russ Ballard began his career in 1963 at the roulette and continued them at Unit 4 2. From 1970, he joined the band Argent. With his compositions, the band had their greatest successes. Ballard left Argent in 1974 to start a solo career. Henceforth he gave his own albums out, worked as a studio musician and wrote songs for many other artists who were partially commercially successful with it. From his pen, inter alia, the number 1 hit (England) come So You Win Again by Hot Chocolate (1977 ) and the glam rock classic New York Groove by Hello ( 1975). He is responsible for the Hits Since You Been Gone by Rainbow (1979 ) and I Know There's Something Going On by ABBA 's Frida on her first solo album (1982). Russ Ballard is also working as a music producer. Among his published under his own name known songs are from his 1984 album Voices, Two Silhouettes and I Can not Hear You No More, as well as from his 1985 album The Fire Still Burns of the same title and Hey Bernadette. On 20 October 2006 was released after a long wait his album Book of Love.

His only hit parade position under his own name, he reached in the U.S. in 1980 with the single On the Rebound ( 58th place ).
