Rustem Khamitov

Rustem Sakijewitsch Chamitow ( born August 18, 1954 in Dratschenino, Rajon Leninsk- Kuznetsk, Kemerovo Oblast, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union ) is a Russian politician Bashkir origin. He's since July 2010 President of the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan.

Rustem Chamitow closed in 1977 to study at the Technical University " N. E. Bauman "in Moscow from. He then worked in various industries of the Bashkir ASSR. In the years of the collapse of the Soviet Union Chamitow began his political career. From 1994 to 1999 he was the Environment and Emergencies Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan. In 1999 he moved to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in Moscow. As of 2000 Chamitow was on the staff of the authorized representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Volga Federal District.
