The Rudka (Russian Рутка, mari Рӹде ) is a 153 km long right tributary of the Volga River in the European part of Russia.
Course
The Rutka rises in the north-east of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, near the border to Kirov Oblast and the Republic of Mari El. From here it flows first in a southerly and southwesterly direction through an embossed villages and farmland landscape.
Having the village of Staraya Rutka happens, they crossed the border with the Republic of Mari El. Here forests dominate the landscape of sparsely populated northwestern autonomous republic. The river flows here in predominantly southern direction and crosses the western Mari El, at Kosmodemjansk before it reaches the reservoir Tscheboksarsker to the Volga River is dammed.
The Rutka is frozen on average by the end of November / beginning of December to April. She is very popular with boaters, hikers.
