Ryad Boudebouz in 2011
Ryad Boudebouz (Arabic رياض بودبوز, DMG Riyad Būdabūz; born 19 February 1990 in Colmar ) is a French football player. As an adult, he chose to play internationally for Algeria. At his current club, the first division club SC Bastia, it is used as an attacking midfielder.
The son of Algerian immigrants, grew up in the western city of Colmar Quartier Europe; from the age of ten he played football at SR Colmar, where his talent quickly the scouts of FC Sochaux did pay attention. 2002 brought Boudebouz Sochaux in his training center. Three years later, he played for the French U-17 national team. In 2007 he won with Sochaux ' A youth team the Coupe Gambardella, France's most important junior competition.
Before the start of the 2008/ 09 Ryad Boudebouz signed his first professional contract and was in early October 2008 in an away match against OGC Nice made his debut in the top division. Beginning of May 2010 took him Rabah Saâdane, the coach of the " Desert Foxes " (as fennecs the Algerian Select a country called ), the training camp in Crans- Montana and also appointed him to the squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa. The end of May, he played his first senior international match in the Algerian 0-3 defeat against Ireland and (1-0 ) was also on June 6 in Fuerth against the United Arab Emirates on as a substitute. At the World Cup finals Algeria met in the group stage to Slovenia, England and the United States. Boudebouz was only 0-0 in their second group game against group favorites England are used. On 12 November 2011, he scored in a friendly against Tunisia 1-0 winning goal, his first international goal for Algeria.
In November 2011 he was elected to Algeria Footballer of the Year. After, during the African Cup in 2013, was caught along with Hameur Bouazza at the team hotel of shisha smoking in January 2013, however, he was no longer taken into account by national team coach Vahid Halilhodžić.
