Ryan Moats

Ryan Moats ( born December 17, 1982 in Dallas, Texas ) is an American former American football player in the position of running backs. He played with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Houston Texans in the National Football League ( NFL).

Career

College

Moats came with good performances from the high school time in the Louisiana Tech University. In total, he completed 32 games at the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. In 2004 he received the award for the WAC Offensive Player of the Year.

NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles committed Moats in the third round of the NFL Draft as the 77th player. He was set as a backup behind Brian Westbrook. Through a violation Westbrook Ryan Moats came towards the end of the season to his first stakes. His first touchdown he scored against the New York Giants. He also ran in eleven attempts 114 yards. In 2006, he came only to a few inserts, 2007, he was sidelined the entire season due to injury. Shortly before the start of the season in 2008 painted him the Eagles out of the squad.

After a short appearance at the Arizona Cardinals Moats came in October 2008 on the Houston Texans. For the Texans, he was used regularly. In October 2009, he scored for the injury-related loss of Steve Slaton three touchdowns in a game. His good performance was rewarded in the sequence with a regular place.

In June 2010, the Minnesota Vikings Ryan Moats committed, but threw him just before the season out of the squad.
