Sadat X
Sadat X ( born Derek Murphy ) is an American rapper and music producer. He is a member of the group Brand Nubian and is considered a representative of East Coast hip- hop and jazz rap. He is also known for the messages of the Five Percent Nation by its texts to spread.
Career
Two years after fire Nubians third album Everything Is Everything Sadat X released his solo debut, Wild Cowboys, among other things, produced by Diamond D. In the same year followed by the second album No Better Way, with contributions by Da Beatminerz and Pete Rock. However, afterwards, initially focused again on the collaboration with Brand Nubian before. 2000 an EP called The State of New York Vs Derek Murphy published.
Employed by his pursuits as an elementary school teacher and basketball coach, it took five more years before his album Experience & Education appeared. Followed in 2006 Black October.
