Saint-Loup-Lamairé
The French town of Saint -Loup- Lamairé is located in the department of Deux -Sèvres, in the Poitou -Charentes. It is the administrative center of the canton of the same name and has 934 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). Mayor Jacques Boquier (2008 voted ).
Geography
Saint -Loup- Lamairé is on average 74 meters in inflows to Loire ( Thouet and Cébron ). Distance to Poitiers is 70 km, 30 km from Thouars and Parthenay and after 20 km from Parthenay.
Attractions
- The castle probably from a jeans or Amaury de Dercé built dates from the 17th century ( frz: Château de Saint -Loup- sur- Thouet ). A tower which is 200 years older. The building resembles formally the Cheverny Castle. A predecessor to the structure XI. Have been built by a Mr. Drogon century.
