Sainte-Marie, Quebec
Sainte -Marie is a city ( ville) and capital of the MRC La Nouvelle- Beauce in the Canadian province of Québec.
The city is located 55 km south-southeast of the provincial capital of Quebec on the east bank of the river Rivière Chaudière. She counted in 2006 a total of 11,700 inhabitants and has an area of 106.65 km ².
History
Saint -Marie was founded in 1736 by Thomas -Jacques Taschereau. 1958 Sainte-Marie received city rights.

The Autoroute 73 runs from Sainte- Marie to Lévis.
Attractions
The Catholic church of Sainte -Marie in the town center was built in 1855-1856.
