Salihorsk
Salihorsk or Soligorsk (White Russian Салігорск / Salihorsk; Russian Солигорск / Soligorsk ) is a city in Belarus in the south of Minsk Woblasz. The city has 101 937 inhabitants today (2006) and is one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
History
Salihorsk was only founded in 1958. As a planned city they originated south of Sluzk on the north bank of the dammed river Slutsch. The city grew continuously; in 1979 it had 65 148 inhabitants and was the early 1990s, Belarus smallest big city.

Description: The coat of arms is divided and has the front in blue a golden ear of corn at the gap of three grains and four awns and rear are in silver six diagonally left red bar.
Economy
The essential basis of the economy are large deposits of potassium carbonate ( potash = ) - Salihorsk means in German salt mines. Born in the town of Internet critic Evgeny Morozov said about himself: " I know more about potassium than I like to admit - I know more about than I like to admit potassium. "
Traffic
There is a beginning in Salihorsk railroad to Sluzk and a highway that passes west of Salihorsk and connects the city with Sluzk in the north and in the south Mikatschewitschy.
Sports
Salihorsk is the home of the football club FK Schachzjor Salihorsk and the ice hockey club HK Schachzjor Salihorsk.
