Salmsach

Salmsach is a municipality in the district of Arbon in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland, which belongs together with Egnach to agglomerate novel horn.

History

Years ago, around 900, traveled as Bishop Solomon of Constance to St. Gallen, he was surprised by a terrible storm. Over time, formed around the chapel a small fishing village, the first " Solomon - Aach " called and was first mentioned in 1150.

Salmsach was up to the Reformation period subject territory. First, the pin of St. Stefan in Konstanz, then that of the monastery of St. Gallen.
