Salten-Schlern

The District Salten - Schlern (Italian Comunità di Comprensoriale Salto - Sciliar Ladin Comunità raion Salten Sciliër ) is an association of 13 municipalities in the area of Bolzano in South Tyrol (Italy). Named the district community after the mountain Schlern and the Salten, a vast plateau at Tschögglberg between Genesio and Mölten.

The population of the 13 municipalities in 2003 was approximately 44,400, the area amounts to 1037 km ². The headquarters is located in Bolzano, rather than being itself a member of the Community.

Municipalities of the district community are: German oven, Genesio, Karneid, Castelrotto, Mölten, rides, Santa Cristina in Val Gardena, Ortisei, Sarn Valley, animal, Fiè, Nova Levante, Selva di Val Gardena.
