Salve, Oh Patria

Salve, Oh Patria! since 1886, is the national anthem of Ecuador. The author of the text, Juan León Mera was later President of the Senate of Ecuador, and is considered one of the most important writers of his country in the 19th century. The music was composed by Antonio Neumane. The official text is in addition to the chorus of six stanzas, of which usually only the reproduced here second is sung.
