Sam Groom

Samuel J. Groom ( born June 13, 1938) is an American actor.

Life

Groom began his acting career in the theater and had his feature film debut in the 1963 film drama Act One on the side of George Hamilton, Jason Robards and Jack Klugman. A Hollywood career was not granted to him, instead he played from 1965 in the soap opera Our Private World and had guest roles in series such as Preston & Preston and Time Tunnel. Familiarity to television audiences in Germany he gained as a police doctor Simon Lark. The series, only 25 episodes came from in Germany to broadcast, was produced 1971-1974 in four seasons with 86 episodes. After the end of the series, he appeared in numerous television films and series. In 2000 he celebrated his Broadway debut.

Groom was married twice. From the first marriage produced three children. In his second marriage he was married between 1980 and 1982 with actress Suzanne Rogers.
