Sam Hennings

Sam Hennings ( born December 17, 1950 in Macon, Georgia ) is an American actor.

Life and career

Hennings spent much of his youth in Athens, Georgia. He has German, English, Scottish and Cherokee ancestors. Hennings lived during much of his career as an actor in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Hennings is active as an actor since 1985. He played on in a variety of films and television shows. These included more than 70 feature films and television productions. In the cinema he was also in the film trilogy The Work and the Glory, in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, in Havoc with Anne Hathaway, Ten Tricks with Lea Thompson, Drop Zone with Wesley Snipes, Shout with John Travolta, Seasons of the Heart, Point load to see lakes with Linda Hamilton, The Hank Gathers Story with George Kennedy, Gideon Oliver with Louis Gossett Jr.. He starred in several television series, including The Magnificent Seven, 24, CSI: Miami and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ER, King Pin, E-Ring, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Recurring roles he had in the CBS series JAG - The Call of Duty, also in Resurrection Boulevard, Pensacola - Wings of Gold and in Wings of Gold as James Brolin's brother.

In 2007 he had a recurring guest role in the broadcast by Turner Network Television's series Saving Grace as Holly Hunter's brother. In 2009, he played together with Josh Lucas in the thriller Stolen Lives.

From September to October 2003, he worked at the theater in Los Angeles in the play Ten Tricks with, which was filmed in 2006. The play is about the life of prostitutes and magicians.
