Sambassadeur

Sambassadeur is an indie pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden.

Band History

In autumn 2003, Anna Persson, Joachim Läckberg and Daniel Permbo founded in the small town of Skövde Sambassadeur. In the same year came Daniel Tolergård from Gothenburg to the band. Been a permanent cast on drums could not be found. 2004 attracted the musicians to Gothenburg and got in touch with the Swedish record label Labrador Records, the group finally adopted in 2005 under contract and the EPs Between the Lines and New Moon published. In the same year appeared the self-titled debut album, which has produced the indie scene for attention and received good reviews. The band, however, had recorded the songs on simple recording equipment, so the quality of the production was greatly reduced. All this brought the band ultimately the reputation of a lo-fi twee - pop acts a, but this was by no means intended. 2006 was followed by the EP Coastal Affairs, which has now considerably careful and elaborate production. A concert tour brought the band in 2006 to Germany.

In the summer of 2007 the band members went back into the studio to record the second album, entitled Migration, which was released in late 2007. As a single Subtle Changes was disengaged. With Final Say 2008 appeared the next single, which was well received by Pitchfork Media again. 2009 the band spent again often in the recording studio to record their new album, European, was released in February 2010 on the Internet and on audio in Labrador. As a single of the title Days was previously published.
