Samuel Feiser Glatfelter

Samuel Feiser Glatfelter (* April 7, 1858 in Loganville, York County, Pennsylvania, † April 23, 1927 in York, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. Between 1923 and 1925 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Samuel Glatfelter attended the public schools of his home, the York County Academy and then the Pennsylvania College in Gettysburg. He then worked for several years as a teacher. Later he became a building contractor. He also went into the banking industry. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party.

In the congressional elections of 1922 Glatfelter in 22 electoral district of Pennsylvania was in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded the Republican Adam Martin Wyant took on 4 March 1923, which moved to the 31 district. Since he has not been confirmed in 1924, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1925.

After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives, Samuel Glatfelter operated again as a contractor. He died on 23 April 1927 in York, where he was also buried.
