San Fernando Partido

San Fernando is a Partido in Buenos Aires Province in eastern Argentina, part of the Province of Buenos Aires. His headquarters is called San Fernando and located approximately in the center of the area. San Fernando has 148 064 inhabitants ( INDEC the Census, 2001).

The Partido includes in addition to the built-up area in the west, numerous islands of the delta of the Paraná and therefore has a relatively low population density. Like the other Partidos the province also has the status of a San Fernando municipality ( municipio ), but is divided into different localities ( Localidades ) and therefore is more similar to the German agricultural or urban districts.
