San Luis is a town in Uruguay.

Geography

San Luis is located on the territory of the department of Canelones in its sector 8 you lies on the coast of the Río de la Plata between the east adjoining Los Titanes and the west, separated by the running there Arroyo del bagre, subsequent guazú - Vira. In the northern hinterland is the Cerro de Piedras Afilar on which the Arroyo del bagre has its source.

History

On October 15, 1963 San Luis was classified by the law Nr.13.167 in the " Pueblo " category.

San Luis has the Liceo de San Luis, founded in 1993 through a secondary school ( Liceo ).

San Luis is located on the Ruta Interbalnearia.
