San Salvador del Valledor

San Salvador del Valledor is a Parroquia and a place in the community Allande, in the autonomous community of Asturias in northern Spain. The 69 inhabitants (2011) living in an area of 39.46 km ². Pola de Allande, the administrative center of the municipality is 43.60 km away. The 18, mostly uninhabited houses of San Salvador and the 2009 restored Church, are maintained by a neighborhood initiative, the " Asociación de Vecinos de San Salvador del Valledor " and permanently restored.

History

The first reference found in documents from the year 912 in the Archdiocese of Oviedo, showing the foundation of the monasteries of San Martin and San Salvador by King Fruela II to the Archdiocese. Comes another deed of gift of Tructinus Veremudiz and his wife Fakilo who donate to the archbishopric several territories in the Valledor From the year 972.
