Sarn

Sarn was a municipality in the district Thusis in the district of Rhein Behind the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.

On 1 January 2010 the municipalities Cazis, Portein, Prec, Sarn and Tartar merged to form the new municipality Cazis.

Geography

The scattered village of Sarn is located in the middle of Heinz mountain region and in the west by a mountain range between Tguma limited ( 2163 m above sea level. M. ) and the Präzer altitude (2120 m). The municipality belongs to the large-scale Alp da Sarn, an area with a number of mountain pastures. Of the total municipal area of ​​760 ha 600 ha are therefore usable for agriculture. In addition, 115 acres of woods and forests are covered. Of the remainder, 24 ha settlement area and 21 ha of unproductive area (mostly mountains).
