Saryshaghan

Saryschagan ( Kazakh Сарышаган ) is a settlement in the Karaganda region, Kazakhstan.

The town of about 4383 inhabitants located in the south of the Kazakh threshold at the northern coast of Lake Balkhash and the administration of the city Balqasch is assumed.

History

The settlement was founded on July 16, 1954 in the vicinity of the same name in 1958 went into operation test site for missile and anti-aircraft defense.
