Saša Ilić ( born December 30, 1977 in Požarevac, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian football player at the position of midfielder.

Career

In the club

Saša Ilić began his career with a playful club in the Serbian Borca until he moved to Partizan Belgrade in 1996. There he forced into a major player and in 1999 for the first time national champion. After a spell at Celta Vigo ( 2003/ 04), he returned to Partizan and in 2005 was again champion.

From 2005 he played in the Turkish top club Galatasaray, and was at the end of the season 2005/ 06 right off the bat Turkish national champion. For this title Ilić had contributed massively with 12 goals and good performances.

Saša Ilić contributed Galatasaray jersey with the number 22 as an attacking midfielder, he shone among other things as hanging tip, which he often scored goals. For the season 2007/ 08 he moved to the top Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg, where he was to take the classic role of a playmaker, but it was the beginning of the season, a substitute for the red bulls from Salzburg. After he was traded in autumn already a flop and flirted in the winter with a move to his parent club Partizan Belgrade, he was able to fulfill the expectations placed in him just before winter break in 2007 and in the second half of 2008 and reaffirm its commitment. In January 2008, he was talking about when he did not appear at the start of training bulls for second round along with teammate Jorge Vargas. After Co Adriaanse took over the office of Giovanni Trapattoni, Saša played in the eyes of the coach is no longer relevant and was first put in the second team and then even suspended. On January 13 it was announced that Saša Ilić is awarded until season's end to AE Larisa. For the 2009/10 season he returned again to convince them of its qualities to Salzburg back to the local new coach Huub Stevens. But this did not succeed, and after only one game before the winter break, he was transferred back to the 2nd team. Shortly thereafter, the two sides agreed to terminate the contract.

23 January 2010 Ilić returned to his Serbian homeland and plays there since at FK Partizan Belgrade, in which he had begun his career as a football player. Partizan Belgrade, he signed a contract with two and a half year term, after signing the contract, he traveled the team that was at that time just to training camp on the Turkish Riviera, afterwards.

In the National Team

Ilić was first used in 2000 in the national team of Serbia and Montenegro. He took in 2006 at the World Cup in Germany in part, scoring against Ivory Coast 2-0, but the game ended 2:3. This was also the only use Ilic at the World Cup.

Private life

In May 2006, Ilić married his fiancee Tijana.
