Sasha Pavlović

Aleksandar "Sasha" Pavlović (* November 15, 1983 in Bar, Yugoslavia (now Montenegro) ) is a Serbian professional basketball player who was most recently with the Trail Blazers Portland under contract.

Career

After three years at KK Budućnost he signed up for the draft in 2003 and was selected by the Utah Jazz at 19th place. There he played only one season before he was pulled from the Charlotte Bobcats in the expansion draft newly founded, but was immediately traded for a first round pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the 2008/2009 season, he was sent with Ben Wallace in exchange for Shaquille O'Neal to the Phoenix Suns. Both his contract and the Wallace were released by the Suns a little later. Then he signed for one year with the Minnesota Timberwolves. After the 2009/2010 season he was initially no contract until Caron Butler drew upon a Patellasehenruptur that the end of the season meant to him. The Dallas Mavericks took him first as a substitute for ten days under contract. After this contract had expired, they gave him a contract for another ten days. Had they extended his contract again, they would have to offer him a contract for the remainder of the season, what did not happen, so once again he signed a ten-day contract with the New Orleans Hornets. Clear where he got less playing time than in Dallas and got no extension of the Hornets. The Boston Celtics selected him for the third station in the 2010/2011 season, where he signed a contract for the remainder of the season. Again, he had only a reserve player. However, he signed after the season a new one year contract minimum salary for the Celtics. On July 20, 2012, he was passed in an exchange between three teams to the Portland Trail Blazers.
