Satteldorf

Saddle village is a municipality and a town in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in Baden- Württemberg. The total settlement was established on 1 January 1974 by the merger of the municipalities Ellrichshausen, saddle village and Groningen.

The municipality saddle village is entered into with the city of Crailsheim and the communities Frankenhardt and Stimpfach an Agreed administrative matters.

Geography

Geographical Location

Saddle village is situated on the Hohenlohe plain at the Jagst, a right tributary of the Neckar River, about 4 km north of Crailsheim. The eastern districts are right on the escarpment of the Franks height.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the north by Wallenhausen, on the east by the Bavarian municipality Quick village ( district of Ansbach ), to the southeast by Kreßberg, in the south on the town of Crailsheim and to the west by the town of Kirchberg an der Jagst.

Other attractions in the community include:

  • The church of St. Nicholas in the main town saddle village, on the 1285 a priest was first mentioned. But very probably existed long before a church, or at least a chapel at the site of the present church.
  • The Anhäuser Wall, a remnant of the monastery Anhausen to 1403

Saddle village is situated directly on the B 290 and the A 6 saddle village has its own motorway junction. The nearby motorway junction Feuchtwangen / Crailsheim the cross A 6 and A 7

The village is connected by bus lines 55, 55B, 65, Crailsheim and belongs to the transport network KreisVerkehr Schwäbisch Hall at. In addition, the place is right on the Tauber Valley Railway Crailsheim - Lauda- Wertheim. The saddle village station is serviced since September 2007 again from the passenger Westfrankenbahn after there for 22 years held no more passenger trains.   • The SpVgg Groningen saddle village 1946 eV is the largest membership organization of the community. With approximately 1600 members this is also one of the biggest clubs in the district of Schwäbisch Hall. The offer consists of football, athletics, gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, table tennis, badminton.
  • In Groningen, the Liederkranz Sportfreunde is (short LSF) found Groningen. The offer of the association depends primarily on the turn region, as well as badminton.
  • The KSG Ellrichshausen is the third sports club in the community. As the second largest sports club one offers different sports.
