Sauber C13

The Sauber C13 was the second Formula 1 race car of Sauber Motorsport and was used in the 1994 Formula 1 season.

Technology and Development

The C13 was designed by André de Cortanze and Leo Ress. A V10 engine from Mercedes -Benz with 3.5 liters was used as a drive.

The tires came, as with all other teams from Goodyear. The gasoline came from Castrol.

Paint and sponsorship

The base color of the C13 was black and had white accents. The front and rear wings were white. Sponsor stickers were placed among other things, Tissot and Sonax.

Driver

At the beginning of the season Wendlinger and Heinz -Harald Frentzen was used as a driver. When training for the 4th Grand Prix of the season in Monaco Wendlinger crashed heavily and fell into a coma. It turned out for the rest of the season. In this Grand Prix renounced Sauber to a start of Frentzen.

From the Grand Prix of Canada launched Andrea de Cesaris for the Swiss team. The last two races Cesaris was replaced by JJ Lehto.
