Savanur State

Savanur was a princely state of British India on the Deccan Plateau in what is now the state of Karnataka. Its capital was Savanur in present-day Haveri district.

With an area of ​​181 square kilometers and a population of 18 446 (1901 ) was one Savanur to the smaller princely states. Savanur was completely enclosed by Dharwad district of the Bombay Presidency. The state was subordinate to the district head ( collector) of Dharwad.
