The Saxon- Oberlausitzer Railway Company ( SOEG ) is a railway infrastructure company and a rail transport company based in Zittau, Saxony. The Company is the operator of narrow gauge railways Zittau - resort of Oybin Bert Village Jonsdorf.

History

The SOEG was founded on July 28, 1994 the district of Zittau and several neighboring municipalities of the Zittau Narrow Gauge Railway. On 15 November 1996 she was awarded the concession as a railway undertakings (RUs ) and a railway infrastructure company (EIU ) for the narrow-gauge railway Zittau - health resort Oybin / Jonsdorf. 1 December 1996, finally went the management of the narrow- gauge railway to the SOEG.

From 2002 to 2003, the SOEG was at the Saxon-Bohemian railway company ( SBE) holds a seat in Seifhennersdorf.

On 1 January 2013, the SOEG assumed by service contract the management of Döllnitz Bahn GmbH, which is exerted by Ingo Neidhardt in personal union. Thus the stage is set for an even closer co-operation through to the intended merger, according to a press release from the Döllnitz web.
