The district of Pomerania was a Prussian administrative district, which consisted 1818-1945. It included on 1 January 1945, the five cities Baldenburg, Hammerstein, Landeck i Westpr. , Prussian Friedland and Pomerania as well as 72 other municipalities and a Gutsbezirk (forest ).

Administrative history

After the reorganization of the circle outline in the Prussian state after the Congress of Vienna was established on April 1, 1818, in the administrative region of Pomerania Marienwerderstraße in the province of West Prussia. This usually consisted of rural areas around the town of Pomerania, where was the District Office.

Am. October 1, 1938 of Pomerania was annexed by the resolution of the border province of Posen - West Prussia, in the province of Pomerania. In spring 1945 the circle area was occupied by the Red Army. After the war, it was placed under Polish administration.
