The Fronberg Castle is an art historically significant area in the district Fronberg the major district town Schwandorf (Bavaria) in Bavaria.

History

Documentary evidence is the system for the year 1305. Those days the lords were invested with the Bailiwick wallet mountain for the reconstruction of destroyed by fire the previous building. Specifications

From the original moat only the portion is received back to the economy. Culture historically important are the Renaissance arcades in the courtyard of the main building of three wings. Architecturally the Fronberg castle by the numerous extensions and conversions is difficult to grasp. It has been renovated in recent years. In the courtyard today find colorful cultural programs such as Theater, outdoor cinema and medieval festival instead.

The family of Breidbach - Bürresheim took in 1992 with a major renovation. The roof was completely renewed. In 2005 the so far last one took place, in which the exterior and the interior spaces have been set for the most part in standing. The road leading to the castle was named after Randolph of Breidbach - Bürresheim, who belonged to the circle of the German resistance on 20 July 1944.
