Schodnia, Opole Voivodeship

Schodnia ( German: Old East Village ) is a village in Upper Silesia. Schodnia located in the urban and rural community Ozimek ( Malapane ) in Opolski powiat (district Opole ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Schodnia Located two kilometers west of the parish seat Ozimek ( Malapane ) and 19 kilometers east of the county town of Opole and voivodship. North of Szczedrzyk is the Turawskie Lake.

Neighboring towns of Schodnia in the West Dembiohammer ( Dębska Kuźnia ), Northwest Pustków ( Pustkow ), in the northeast Antoniów ( Antonia ), to the east of the city Ozimek ( Malapane ) and in the south Nowa Schodnia ( New East Village ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1485. 1865, the municipality had Schodnia, belonged to the Old Schodnia, New Schodnia, Piecuch and Niewa, eight pawns, seven half farmers, gardeners nine, six arable Häusler and 104 Anger Häusler. In addition, there were two forest lodges and two water mills. At this time, the inhabitants were the parish after Krasiejów and enrolled students for Antonia.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 voted in the community Schodnia 554 voters to remain in Germany and 420 for belonging to Poland. Old Schodnia remained with the German Reich. In 1925 the town had 1527 inhabitants. In the 1920s, the company was renamed in Old East Village. 1933 lived 1284 inhabitants in the town. On April 1, 1939 Old East Village was incorporated into Malapane. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and the Silesian Voivodeship was connected and renamed Schodnia. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 he is part of the re-established powiat Opolski. 2005, the site had about 840 inhabitants.
