Scott Barrie

Scott Barrie ( born March 10, 1962 in St Andrews ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party.

In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999 Barrie won the direct mandate of the constituency of Dunfermline and West moved into the newly created Scottish Parliament. In the parliamentary elections in 2003, he defended the constituency, but was defeated in the 2007 parliamentary elections the candidate of the Liberal Democrats, Jim Tolson. As Barrie was not set up as a list candidate for the constituency, he missed the re- entry into parliament.

Career

Scott attended Auchmuty High School in Glenrothes, and then the University of Edinburgh, which he left with a master's degree. Then Barrie obtained the Certificate of Qualification in Social Work ( CQSW ) Stirling University and a diploma from the University of Dundee. Between 1986 and 1991 Barrie then worked as a social worker for the Fife and then to 1999 as a group leader. After his election to the Scottish Parliament, he dealt with the topics of traffic as well as children and adolescents.

Barrie is single and supporters of the football team Dunfermline Athletic.
