Mid Scotland and Fife (Scottish Parliament electoral region)

Mid Scotland and Fife is one of Scotland's eight electoral regions of the Scottish Parliament election. It was created on the basis of the Scotland Act of 1998. It includes the Council Areas Clackmannanshire, Fife and Stirling, as well as parts of the Regions Angus and Perth and Kinross and is divided into nine constituencies. As part of the revision of the electoral regions in 2011 the external borders and the boundaries of the constituencies were redrawn. The first elections were held on 6 May 1999 as part of the general election.

At the Mid Scotland and Fife region boundaries in the north and clockwise starting from the choice Highlands and Islands, North East Scotland, Central Scotland and Western Scotland.

Geographical breakdown

Under the Glasgow Area nine constituencies were summarized. The constituencies corresponded regarding naming and cut the constituencies to the British Parliament. Each represents a specific constituencies by majority vote of Representatives. In addition, seven Additional Members are elected. As part of the revision of the electoral districts in 2011, the constituencies were re-cut.
